Flawless Face | Skincare Secrets

Skin, skin, skin when will you listen to us?

I'm sure you all have had problems with your skin, if not then embrace it and be thankful because you have no idea what the rest of us have been through/ are going through!

I have discovered some tips that have helped me clean up my skin and now *hopefully* yours.

There are six things you have to look at when dealing with skin.

Diet
Sleep
Exercise
Routine
Fresh air
Hydration

Diet

By diet I mean what you eat, not some fad diet to help you loose weight.

What are you eating? Take sometime to review your eating regime, what do you need to eat more of and less of? Are you having fruits or veggies with every meal you have. I would recommend 5 fruits 5 veggies - I can promise you this will help with your skin!

Are you eating to many sweets, spicy foods, greasy food. All of these contribute to the look of your skin. Cut back on them I know it will be hard but Think of that beautiful clear skin.

Sleep

Sleep is a must, pretty much every single teenager is lacking in the sleep department. Make sure you have at least 8 hours or more. If you take a long time to get to sleep its probably because your on your phone before bed. 2 hours before you sleep put your phone away, turn on our bed side amp and read - this always helps me have a peaceful nights rest.

If you still can't sleep after this try sleep hypnosis - you can find this on YouTube.

Exercise

I would recommend that you break a sweat at least 3 times a week, not only is this good for your skin but it is also good for your body. Find something you enjoy, a club with friend or an alone spot like running. You have to bee your own coach, drag your self out the house and do some exercise

A mistake that many people make is that they wear make up when they worn out - this is a no no. Be make up will just clog you pores and make you have more spots!

Routine

Skincare routine is very vital to how your skin looks. Wash you face twice a day with a light cleanser or gave wash, avoid face washes that dry out the skin or have to many chemicals, as this could irritate your skin. Scrub face with a light scrub 3-5 times a week. I made the mistake of thinking the more vigorouse the scrub the clearer my skin would be - I couldn't have been more wrong. Choose a scrub that is for sensitive skin and lightly massage on to the face.

Make-up can seem like the way to go If your skin isn't quite on point, but try to stay away from thick foundations. If it is a must then carry around blotting sheets to blot excess oils to keep skin unclogged.

Moisturiser is a must no matter what skin type. I would recommend a water based moisturiser as it will prevent oily skin and clogging your pores. I love the aveeno moisturiser it's so inexpensive and works wonders!

Fresh air

Air is so important to skin, you make not think so but it is. Try get out the house and go for a walk if jot then open up the window and let in fresh pure air.

Obviously smoking is a no no but as a teenager or young adult it may be a dirty habit. Just ensue that you cut down and try counteract it by getting lots of fresh air and exercise.

Hydration

This is probably the most important, drink up because it will help!

Ideas: lemon water, green tea, water, green smoothies. Try drink 10 glasses a day ( it's not as much as you think it is) this will really detoxify your body meaning the skin will hopefully clear up.

Remember that we are all going to have those off days when we are going to have a lovely collection of spots on out skin.  Don't feel insecure, everyone gets them and there not permanent they will go away sooner or later.

Hope these tips helped!

Spinach Slices | Food

So for luch I was experimenting a little with different flavours and I came across a cheese on toast that I fell in love with.

This is the spinach, ham and cheese on toast.
Ingredients:

-2 pieces of toast
-Ham
-Handful of spinach
-Cheddar cheese

Fist I lightly grilled the pices of bread so that they won't become soggy when I add the toppings.

The I added a pice of ham to each piece of bread and grilled for 1-2 minutes.

Once that was done I added the washed spinach and let them become soggy on the bread before adding the cheese.

You can go crazy on the spinach or tone it down depending on your taste.

The. It was time for the cheese I took a handful of the cheese and sprinkled it on the bread on top of the ham and spinach. Them I let it melt and it was ready to serve.

Hope you liked this quick post on what I had for luch! Are you going to have a go?

Bedroom Bits | Desk

So I have been doing a room makeover recently, which is still on going but my bedroom has defiantly improved a lot.
Whenever I redo my bedroom there isn't really a set theme I am ever going for. Sometimes things just happen by chance that I love! Although that being said I wanted it to be quite elegant, not too girly and organised.
One idea I had was to put a shelf on top of my desk to maximize desk space and add a little something to the plain walls.

On the shelf I put ornaments to help add to the theme in my bedroom. I decide that the wall was still too plain so I made some butterfly's and stuck the on the wall - I still can't decide whether I like them or not! What do you think?

On top I have a board where I put notes and to-do lists to help keep me organised. (which is a department that needs a lot of help in!)

To create the board I just did a quick DIY. I used some twine and washing pegs to create the line for my notes and I stuck them to the white board with blue tack. I love my board because it help me get organised as I can put to-do lists or notes on it.

The actual desk is very plain, it only has a pencil pot on it, I like it this way because I feel as if I am more organised and it helps me feel in control - therefore making me work harder (not really but I like to think it does)

I hope you liked this little tour of my desk area. Would you like to see the rest of my room?

Friday Finds | H&M

This Friday I decided that my wardrobe needed an update.

So I went clothes shopping , well actually I went online shopping and I didn't buy anything. So online browsing I went.

There wasn't really a particular style I was looking for, maybe something a little more mature, slightly basic and of course sleek. The obvious place to go was zara but I wanted to try something new. I decided to have a quick look on the H&M website to see whether any of their clothes caught my eye. I wasn't expecting much but I was definitely proven wrong!

These were the first things that caught my eye, a pair of girlfriend jeans they are under £30.

What I love about these jeans is that they're not figure hugging whcih is something I like. The jeans are slim fit which this creates the illusion of a slimmer, longer, leaner legs. which is what we all want...right?

Another amazing find was this gorgeous floral print jumper.

As the weather is getting colder I think it's time for me to have a look at jumpers.  I love the pattern on this and I think that a pair of girlfriend jeans would help make it look more modern. I like how there is a subtle hint of mustard yellow which adds some brightness but its not to over powering. But out of everything of all is the the price. It's only £6.99!

I am only going to mention one more piece of clothing, cause otherwise well be here all day!
These shoes are probably top of my list! I'm in love! They add a nice bit of heel which is always nice and have an accent rose gold zip on the from making the boot look much more decorative. With the top two pieces of clothing it will make the outfit slightly more edgy and casual.  For the price of £29.99 you can't get much better quality.

I am definitely heading over to H&M soon... are you?
